When Does This Happen?

Typically, this process begins after the final round of CLAT counselling, around June or July. Each NLU that has vacant seats releases a separate notification on its official website.

Keep a close eye from mid-June to early August for updates. This year, for CLAT 2025, we expect most of the vacant seat admissions to occur between last week of June 2025 and July 2025.

Who Can Apply?

Anyone who:

• Appeared for CLAT 2025
• Meets the minimum eligibility criteria for the UG/PG program
• Didn’t secure a seat OR wishes to upgrade to a different NLU

You must have a valid CLAT score. Most NLUs do not entertain fresh applications without a CLAT rank, even during vacant seat rounds.

1. Track Official NLU Websites: Each NLU handles vacant seat admission independently. Regularly check their official websites for instant updates.
2. Submit an Application Form: NLUs usually release a Google Form or a downloadable application format. Fill it with your CLAT 2025 details, rank, and personal information.
3. Upload Required Documents: Marksheet, CLAT scorecard, ID proof, caste certificate (if applicable), etc.
4. Pay the Application Fee (if any): Some NLUs charge a nominal fee for processing.
